Tomb Raider, directed by Roar Uthaug, grossed $274 million worldwide, turning the Oscar-winning actress Alicia Vikander into our beloved action heroine Lara Croft.
Now the fans can breathe a sigh of relief, because there is a good reason for excitement. According to Deadline, MGM and Warner Bros have hired Amy Jump, who is widely known for her work on Free Fire, Kill List, A Field In England, Sightseers, and High-Rise, to write the script for the Tomb Raider movie sequel.
The big question is, will Alicia return and reprise the role of heroine Lara Croft again? According to Deadline, sources said Alicia liked what she was in Amy Jump’s scripting, which makes it sound pretty likely that she will return for the sequel.
