Following in the steps of Angelina Jolie, who personated Lara Croft in two Tomb Raider movies in 2001 and 2003, Oscar® winner Alicia Vikander will show us a completely different version of Lara Croft including a new backstory. The storyline follows Lara, when she sets out on her first expedition to finish her father’s archaeological research and uncover ancient secrets in order to clear his disgraced name. Tragedy hits when her adventure turns into a fight for survival.
The movie will hit cinemas on March 16, 2018 worldwide. The cast will also feature stars such as Dominic West (as Lord Richard Croft), Walton Goggins (as Father Mathias Vogel), Daniel Wu (as Lu Ren) and Leo Ashizawa (as Alex Ren).
